Privacy Policy
Updated on 2 October 2026
Oliveira Travel respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, for what purposes we use it, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation EU 2016/679).
Important note about our service model: Oliveira Travel acts exclusively as a travel consultant. We do not process payments, we do not make reservations directly, and we do not sell trips. Any reservations are made by the client themselves on external platforms (such as iCliGo). The data we collect is used solely to provide personalized consulting services.
1. Data Controller
- Name: Oliveira Travel
- Registration: RNAVT 3301

2. What Data We Collect and How
The form collects your name, email, optional phone number, destination, dates or approximate period, adults and children, each child’s age at departure, trip type, budget, notes and permission to contact you. We also store the request language, reference and submission date. Do not include identity documents, health or payment data in your notes.
In this version, requests are stored by the website hosting service for review. Submitting a request does not make a booking or payment. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising tools. Hosting processes the technical data needed for operation and secure access. Fonts are loaded through Google Fonts, which connects your browser to that provider’s servers.
3. What do we use your data for?
Your data is used exclusively for:
- Responding to your request for information or travel proposal.
- Develop personalized travel proposals based on your preferences.
- Communicate with you during the consulting process (by email or WhatsApp)
- We provide support before and during the trip, should you contact us.
Your personal data is not sold, transferred, or shared with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
4. Sharing Data with Third Parties
Your data may only be shared under the following circumstances and with the following entities:
| Entity | Purpose | Guarantees |
|---|---|---|
| Booking platforms (e.g., iCliGo) | The client only interacts directly with the platform when necessary to present proposals; the client interacts directly with the platform. | Each platform has its own privacy policy. |
| Web hosting provider | Technical functioning of the website | Data processor under the terms of the GDPR. |
We would like to clarify that when a proposal is presented based on an external platform (such as iCliGo), any booking and payment is made by the client directly on that platform, and the payment and booking data are subject to the privacy policy of the respective platform and not to that of Oliveira Travel.
5. Legal Basis for Treatment
- Contract execution or pre-contractual due diligence (Article 6, paragraph 1, point b) GDPR) — for data provided through the form or WhatsApp for the purpose of providing consulting services.
6. Storage Period
Form data and communications are retained for the time needed to provide the service and for no more than two years after the last contact. You can request deletion at info@oliveira-travel.com.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access — knowing what data we have about you
- Rectification — correct incorrect or outdated data
- Elimination — request the deletion of your data
- Portability — to receive your data in a structured format
- Opposition — to oppose treatment based on legitimate interests
- Withdrawal of consent — at any time, without prejudice to treatment previously carried out
- Limitation — request a temporary suspension of treatment
To exercise any of these rights, contact us by email (info@oliveira-travel.com) or WhatsApp. We will respond within a maximum of 30 days.
You still have the right to lodge a complaint with National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) in www.cnpd.pt.
8. Data Security
We have adopted appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including secure connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to internal communications. However, no data transmission system over the internet is 100% secure — if you detect any irregularity, please inform us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service or legislation. The current version is always the one published on this website, with the update date indicated at the top.
